Tinker Bell on DVD

Me: Maya, what do you want people to know about the Tinker Bell DVD?

Maya: It’s awesome.

Me: What else?

Maya: It’s awesome.

*sigh*

Tinker Bell is the first in a series of films that will feature the Disney Fairies. We’re introduced to Tinker Bell’s home, Pixie Hollow, where we find that each fairy has their own special gift. Tink struggles with the feeling that her fairy gift isn’t much of a gift at all. She has to learn to stay true to herself and to take pride in what she was born to do.

Maya didn’t care about this, but parents might like to know that the fairies are fun to listen to, as they’re voiced by Mae Whitman, America Ferrera, Raven-Symone, Lucy Liu, Kristen Chenoweth, Jesse McCartney, and Anjelica Huston.

As with all Disney DVDs, there’s a great bunch of bonus features that we haven’t had time to sample because Maya only wants to watch the movie.

Tinker Bell is available on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 28th.

Oh, and here’s a fun little puzzle for your little ones to do. Just click on the image to make it bigger and then print it out. It’s kind of like a Sudoku puzzle.

I’ve been waiting for this movie and I’m so glad Maya gave it positive reviews! I can’t wait to see it.

  2. Debbie Meder Says:

Maya has me convinced that I should watch this! It must be really good if she’s giving up math to watch it! What kid doesn’t prefer math to Tinkerbell??

  3. Sudhir Jagtap Says:

My daughter Shrishti (2.5 years old) loves this movie. She talks, plays and study with her invisible fairy friend Tinkerbell.

The animation, characters, storyline, direction, lighting, rendering, and special effects… everything is just perfect. The message/ lesson is great, not only for the kids but also for everyone.

I would like to thank Disney’s team for doing such a great job.

    Thank you Disney!
