Zingo! And Another Giveaway!

Posted on 10 November 2008 by Liberty

Zingo by ThinkFun is a fun game for big kids, but mostly it’s fun for little kids because Zingo teaches little kids how to read! Even though it teaches you stuff, it’s still fun. But don’t give it to kids who cry when they lose. But still, it’s a fun game.

And we have a brand-new giveaway! We’re giving away something for grown-ups and something for kids: A book called Totally Vegetarian: Easy, Fast, Comforting Cooking for Every Kind of Vegetarian by Toni Fiore, and a book called Smelly Locker: Silly Dilly School Songs by Alan Katz! So whoever wins gets 2 things! Just enter by answering this question: What’s your favorite movie? If you are a grown-up, what was your favorite movie as a kid? Right now my favorite movie is Naruto and the Legend of the Stone Gelel.

When I was a kid, my favorite movie was E.T. When I was really little, I liked The Apple Dumpling Gang.

    PS: I am old.

  2. Alana Says:

I liked Annie when I was a kid. Now that I am a parent, I make my kids like it, too.

When I was a little one, I liked ET - but I *loved* Firestarter and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I also liked Star Wars (so reminded as my 3yo sits and plays with an 18″ Darth Vader doll. Whom she knows by name ((insert ridiculous proud mama grin here)) ).

  4. Lisa Says:

“The Wizard of Oz” and “The Sound of Music” are two of my all time kid favorites. The best was when everything went from Black and White to Color in Oz.
Claire’s new favorite is High School Musical 3: Senior Year. We are big into musicals.

  5. Alissa Says:

Henry: Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back

Hod: Naruto Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom

Hans: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Alissa: Herbie the Love Bug (the original)

    Eric: Star Wars: New Hope

    I’m outnumbered.

My favorite movie was “The Wizard of Oz” We didn’t have a vcr so we waited all year for it to come on. We would wait up to watch it and I would always fall asleep and miss the end. I would cry because i would have to wait a whole year to see the end. I also liked “Mary Poppins” that came on more often.;-) My first movie i ever saw in the theater was “Annie”…Loved it..

Do you girls remember me at Aunt Tracy and Uncle Mike’s wedding? I was the old lady who was obsessed with Hello Kitty.

Awesome job on the website! Keep up the great work! :-)

  11. Laura Says:

The Neverending Story got worn out over and over… so did Labyrinth… My dad always had old movies on, so I saw Apple Dumpling Gang (and the sequel ADG Rides again) over and over… they made me giggle nonstop… so did Jerry Lewis :)

I’m pretty late on this, but I loved Back to the Future as a kid. Something about being able to time travel is pretty amazing to me.
